Prior to this school year, I was an Innovation and Learning Coach for three years at Alexander Doniphan Elementary and Liberty Oaks Elementary. My teaching career was eight years in fifth grade at Warren Hills Elementary and two years in third grade at Ridgeview Elementary.
I have an Ed.D. degree in Educational Leadership from William Woods University, Ed.S. and M.S.Ed. degrees in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University, and a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from William Jewell College.
My family includes Laura, my beautiful wife of 8 years, our one-year-old son, and our sweet & energetic seven-year-old goldendoodle, Berkley. We love our family, youth ministry, traveling, working out, the outdoors, and the adventure of life together. I’m also an avid Kansas City Royals fan.
I believe there is immense value in what schools do, that learning comes through opportunity and failure, student and teacher creativity makes the learning process meaningful, and innovative classrooms invite innovative students.
I am passionate about investing in others and believe great leaders are those that build other leaders.
