I am an elementary Innovation and Learning Coach with Liberty Public Schools. This is my third year as a coach, working with students and teachers at Alexander Doniphan Elementary and Liberty Oaks Elementary. Prior to becoming a coach, I taught third grade at Ridgeview Elementary for two years and fifth grade at Warren Hills Elementary for eight years.
I have an Ed.D. degree in Educational Leadership from William Woods University, Ed.S. and M.S.Ed. degrees in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University, and a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from William Jewell College.
My family includes Laura, my beautiful wife of 8 years, our one-year-old son, and our sweet & energetic six-year-old goldendoodle, Berkley. We love our family, youth ministry, traveling, working out, the outdoors, and the adventure of life together. I’m also an avid Kansas City Royals fan.
I believe there is immense value in what schools do, that learning comes through opportunity and failure, student and teacher creativity makes the learning process meaningful, and innovative classrooms invite innovative students.
I am passionate about educational leadership and believe great leaders are those that build other leaders.
